6 Easy Ways To Stay Organised and Our Colourful Stationery Picks To Bring You Joy

Staying organised can be challenging, but it doesn’t have to be. Nothing clears my mind more than writing things down, lists, ideas, appointments and deadlines. Getting it all out of my head and down onto paper creates space to organise my thoughts, think clearly and streamline my day.

Studies have even shown that the physical act of writing boosts connectivity between different areas of the brain as opposed to typing and could improve learning, memory, and creativity.

It’s no secret that I love keeping a planner and always have a to-do list on the go. Over the years, I have learned a few tips and tricks that have helped me to stay on track. So here are my 6 easy ways to stay organised, and a few of our favourite colourful, Raspberry Blossom stationery items that will not only keep you focused on your goals, but also inject a little bit of colour and joy into the everyday.

1. Keep a daily to-do list

I like to write my daily to-do list the night before, so I can start the day straight away, knowing exactly what needs to be completed. Getting all the day's tasks written down the night before also acts as an unwinding exercise. Closing the working day, and taking a moment to myself to recognise what I have achieved. No matter how big or small. Our rainbow to-do list pad is my go-to, with its colourful little tick boxes for that super satisfying dopamine release when ticking off all of your 'to-do's'.

2. Setting goals and rewards

Set yourself a goal for the week to keep yourself focused. What would you love to achieve over the next seven days? With your goal in mind, you can plan what it is you need to do each day to work towards it and keep you on track.

Planning a reward for the week is just as important as goal setting or ticking off tasks on your to-do list. Make sure you are setting aside some time for yourself, and schedule in something that will bring you joy or help you recharge your batteries. This could be as simple as a movie night with friends, trying out a new hobby, or taking a relaxing bath. Whatever it may be, make sure you're setting aside some time to indulge in a little self-care and sprinkle it throughout your week. By doing this, you'll create a sense of balance and fulfilment in your life, which will help you stay motivated and productive in the long run.

3. Break down larger tasks

When there is a big project ahead it can feel overwhelming, but breaking it down into smaller more manageable pieces can immediately help. I like to start from the deadline or end goal and work backwards from there to identify the priority of tasks. Our tear off rainbow grid priority planner is the perfect colourful companion to help you prioritise your tasks. Compile your jobs into simple, easy to use sections, ranging from urgent and important, to those tasks that could be delegated to others, or even dropped from your to-do list. Keeping your workload manageable and ensuring that you can stay on top of everything you need to accomplish.

4. Using a planner

Keeping a planner can keep all of the above points in one handy convenient place, working as a visual representation of your schedules, tasks and goals. I love to use our daily planner, the vibrant colours really give an injection of joy to my everyday planning and get me excited about making future plans, and really helps keep me motivated to stay organised.

Our colourful undated planners are designed to help you set and achieve your goals. Offering dedicated spaces for creating vision boards, tracking habits, and prioritising tasks on a daily and weekly basis. Whether you're looking to keep your family life organised or want to stay on top of your schedule with a weekly planner, finding the right planner that works for you can really make all the difference in staying organised.

5. Flexibility

Life is full of surprises, and we have all been in a situation where not everything has gone exactly as we planned. Keeping your plans flexible and easily adaptable, and giving yourself a little bit of breathing space makes sure that when life treats you to one of those situations, and all of your plans go out the window, you can simply take a deep breath, rearrange your plans, and try again.

Remember that these setbacks happen to everyone, so be kind to yourself when you are navigating these moments, stay positive, and keep moving forward!

6. Celebrate the small wins

It can be so easy to get caught up in completing one task after another that we can forget to pause and appreciate our accomplishments. So, take some time to reflect on what you have achieved, celebrate your successes (even the little ones), and give yourself a little pat on the back. You deserve it!
